高缘俱乐部VIP介绍：著名高尔夫设计师布莱恩科里 Brian Curley

编者注：著名美国设计师Brian Curley 欣然应邀成为高缘VIP俱乐部成员，也是高缘VIP俱乐部第一位国际友人，布莱恩先生表达了对俱乐部的期待，也非常乐意和中国的同行一起分享成长。

Mr.. Curley was raised in Pebble Beach, California where he played, caddied, and worked at the area’s iconic courses, developing a deep appreciation for the science and art of golf course architecture. A 1982 graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo’s School of Architecture & Environmental Design, he spent a significant portion of his early career with Landmark Golf Company. While there, he honed his craft under the tutelage of legendary golf course architect Pete Dye, working on projects like PGA West’s Stadium Course and Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course.

科里先生成长于加利福尼亚州圆石滩，先天的地缘优势使他得以在这里的顶级球场中打球、作球童和工作，同时也培养了自己对高尔夫建筑科学和艺术的鉴赏能力。在1982年毕业于圣路易欧比斯波的加州州立科技大学建筑与环境设计学院之后，他在Landmark高尔夫公司开始了自己的职业生涯。在这里，他得到了传奇高尔夫设计师皮特·戴的悉心指导，通过在PGA西部体育球场、基洼岛海景球场等项目的工作为自己的设计技能打下了基础。

Since co-founding Schmidt-Curley Design with partner Lee Schmidt in 1997, the firm has built numerous awardwinning, worldrenowned golf facilities. The tandem is responsible for crafting 10 of the 12 courses at storied Mission Hills Golf Club  the “World’s Largest Golf Club”  and designed and built all 10 layouts at Mission Hills’ new Hainan Island resort. Acclaim for SchmidtCurley includes,  Golf Magazine’s “Architect of the Year” for 2011, Asian Golf Monthly’s “Best Golf Course Architect in AsiaPacific”  and Golf Inc.’s #4  “Most Influential Architects”.

科里先生在1997年与合作伙伴李·史密特共同组建史密特-科里设计公司，从此他们共同创造了大量国际知名、获奖颇丰的高尔夫球场。这对组合负责设计规划了著名的“世界最大高尔夫俱乐部”——深圳观澜湖度假区——12座球场中的10座，并随即再次设计了海口观澜湖度假区全部的10座球场。近年来，史密特-科里公司获得的荣誉包括《Golf Magazine》杂志评选的“2011年度高尔夫设计师”，《亚洲高尔夫月刊》评选的“亚太地区最佳高尔夫设计师”，以及在《Golf Inc.》杂志评选的“世界最具影响力高尔夫设计师”排名中位列第四。

Mr. Curley’s recent work at Mission Hills Haikou has been honored by many prominent media outlets, including GOLF Magazine (Lava Fields named #1 Best New International Course of 2011 and Blackstone named #2 “Best New International Course of 2010), Golf World (Lava Fields ranked a “World Top 100” course) and Asian Golf Monthly (Blackstone named #1 Course in China, and #3 Championship Course in Asia-Pacific). He is a long-time member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA).
